Terms

Summary: Orton’s closed beta is free, provided as-is, and things may change as we learn. Your data carries over when we launch — nothing gets reset. We’ll give you notice before any paid plan starts.

Beta terms

These terms apply while Orton is in closed or open beta, in addition to our privacy policy.

  • Free of charge. The beta is free to use, including features we’ll eventually put behind a paid Pro plan.
  • Provided as-is. We don’t offer a service-level agreement during the beta. We aim for reliability, but you should expect occasional bugs, downtime, or rough edges.
  • Things may change. Features, usage limits, and what’s included in Pro may change as we learn from the beta — we’ll try to give notice for anything significant.
  • Your data carries over. Your account, objectives, and progress history created during the beta carry over when Orton reaches general availability. We won’t reset or delete beta data as part of launching.
  • We may contact you for feedback. As a beta user, we may reach out by email or in-app for feedback, surveys, or interviews about your experience. You can opt out of anything beyond essential service emails, or reach us any time at legal@orton.app.
  • Either side can end participation. You can stop using Orton and close your account at any time. We can also end your beta access, for example if you break these terms or misuse the service.
  • Notice before paid plans start. If Orton introduces paid plans, we’ll give you advance notice by email before any plan on your account starts being billed.
